China's Tech Wave
IAQ capitalized on China’s economic and dot com boom, marking our first global venture. We undertook a significant project with AMD (Suzhou) Co., Ltd, delivering extensive cleanroom, M&E, and utility services over 25,000 sqm. This period of rapid tech investment in China allowed us, as a bilingual company, to expand our reach, serving multinational clients and enhancing our business scope and engineering expertise.

IAQ Embarks on European Journey
IAQ expanded from Asia to Europe, establishing a Polish branch to offer comprehensive EPCC services. Our inaugural European project with Sumika, encompassing cleanroom architecture and M&E systems, marked the beginning of numerous European ventures, propelling our global outreach and legacy.

During the HDD demand surge, IAQ stood out with its expertise in cleanroom facility solutions, essential for data storage manufacturing. Specializing in Class 10 cleanrooms, our focus on purity and precision has been crucial to our clients’ success, especially in environments where cleanliness is vital. Beyond just providing filtration and ventilation, IAQ’s commitment to excellence is reflected in our holistic engineering approach, exemplified by a RM12 million contract project, showcasing our ability to create perfect manufacturing atmospheres.

IAQ's European Expansion with XFAB France
IAQ’s expansion from Poland to France highlights our commitment to precision cleanroom construction and global collaboration. We’ve notably served as the cleanroom facility contractor for XFAB, addressing and resolving their production challenges through meticulous FMEA analysis. This success enhanced operational productivity and bolstered client confidence. Entrusted with a new project for XFAB France, we’re constructing a cleanroom facility with comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and process systems over 5,000 sqm. Our achievements underscore our expertise, dedication to excellence, and standing as a premier Total Facility Solutions Provider.
2009
Class 1 Highest Cleanroom Classification Built
IAQ has marked a significant milestone by constructing a Class 1 cleanroom, the highest classification, for MEMC in Ipoh, Malaysia, covering 14,000 sqm. This turnkey project transcends mere construction; it represents a commitment to creating an ultra-pure environment conducive to innovation. Overcoming challenges with inventive solutions, this endeavor not only showcases our ability to navigate complex projects but also cements our reputation in the industry. This achievement has been a pivotal moment for IAQ, securing a contract value of RM93.5 million.

IAQ Sets New Footprint in Morocco
As ST Microelectronics extends into Morocco, IAQ follows, leveraging our successful local collaboration to venture into this new territory. Our journey with ST Microelectronics transcends mere business, evolving into a shared mission marked by exceptional cleanroom facility construction, complete with Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Systems, along with hookup services in Morocco. This expansion not only showcases our adaptability but also reinforces our position as a trusted partner in international projects.
2013
KLCC District Cooling System Largest in Malaysia
Since diversifying from semiconductors into the energy sector in 2013, IAQ achieved a major milestone as the main contractor for Malaysia’s largest District Cooling System (DCS) Plant at KLCC. This project, a testament to our capabilities, emphasizes our commitment to sustainable solutions. Significant accomplishments include uninterrupted chilled water supply to 56,000 KLCC-area entities and project completion with zero Lost Time Injury (LTI). These successes led to a 25-year maintenance service contract with KLCC. Our expertise now extends to creating eco-efficient infrastructure, with this project contributing RM310 million to IAQ’s contract value for both phases.

IAQ secured a RM 34 million contract for EPCC services, building a Class 100 cleanroom for SilTerra. IAQ Penetrates Pharmaceutical Industry as Cleanroom Specialist
IAQ’s journey through various industries reflects our adaptability and commitment to excellence. Our venture into the pharmaceutical sector with Ain Medicare is a significant milestone. We constructed a Grade D GMP Facility, featuring a Class 10k cleanroom system and complete MEP solutions over 5,600 sqm. This expansion into pharmaceuticals not only showcases our specialized cleanroom construction skills but also diversifies our impact across industries, evidenced by a successful RM54 million contract acquisition.

IAQ Ventures Into the EV Age
IAQ embarked on a significant venture as the chosen contractor for Northvolt Gigafactory’s architectural and dryroom facilities in Sweden, marking our entry into the EV battery industry. This project underscores IAQ’s position as a leader in high-tech facility engineering and construction, adaptable to various industries and meeting global standards. Our foray into the rapidly evolving EV battery sector demonstrates our commitment to innovation and adaptability, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change through electrification and EV battery development. Robert Bosch Project Green Building Index Achievement
Following IAQ’s entry into the EV battery market, we embarked on a groundbreaking project for Robert Bosch, focusing on constructing an environmentally sustainable building. Despite facing significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including construction delays and workforce constraints, our team overcame these hurdles, showcasing our adaptability and efficiency by completing the project ahead of the planned timeline.

IAQ has ventured into the dynamic world of data centres, adding to our portfolio of success in semiconductor, energy, pharmaceutical, and EV battery industries. Our latest project involves serving as the PCC contractor for a Microsoft data centre, where we provide HVAC (Wet) Package services. This move into data centres, a burgeoning industry in Malaysia, is backed by a RM24 million contract and reflects our commitment to building infrastructures that support future technologies. With this expansion, IAQ continues to diversify and adapt to new industry challenges.

XFAB Kuching Expansion Design and Build by IAQ
IAQ’s recent collaboration with XFAB for the Kuching Expansion facility in Sarawak represents another significant milestone, reaffirming our expertise and esteemed reputation in providing comprehensive facility solutions.
